This catalogue of exhibition of Vladimir Sucháneks work, prepared in time for his 80th birthday, gives a comprehensive view of the work of this leading Czech graphic artist whose works has been, for more than half a century, an integrated part of modern European graphics. His fine prints have gained wide appreciation and won awards both at home and abroad.
The book includes Suchánek’s work from the first half of the 1950s to the present in a continuous sequence; from the early search for his own path, the shaping of his future in terms of confronting his own artistic dispositions and contemporary inputs, up to the period of cultivation of results.
